CROP Hunger Walks
CROP Hunger Walks are community-wide events sponsored by Church World Service and organized by local congregations or groups to raise funds to end hunger at home and around the world. We participate with other Brenham churches at an annual event, usually held in Hohlt Park. A portion of the money raised stays in our own community. Find out more about CROP Walk.

The Blood Center of Brazos Valley
Brenham Presbyterian Church hosts four community blood drives each year in the Fellowship Hall.

Bread Partners of Washington County
Food items are collected for distribution to families in need of assistance at various locations in Washington County. Bins for donated nonperishable food items are in the Blinn Room.

Mission Brenham
Mission Brenham is a Christ-centered community development organization focused on low-income families and dedicated to educate, mentor, and empower the next generation.

  • Mission Brenham Leadership Academy - An after school enrichment program serving children Pre-k through 8th grade, as well as employing Blinn College students as Educational Instructors. This year MBLA took place in our Fellowship Hall.
     
  • JAM - A 6-week summer program serving children, Pre-k – 6th grade. JAM also provides employment opportunities for graduating JAM kids, ages 13-18, and for college-age missionaries from around the country. Find out more about Mission Brenham.

 

 

C.U.P.S. - Communidades Unidas Pro Salud
C.U.P.S. is a Christian organization which works to improve the quality of life in rural communities along the Mexico-U.S. border, primarily in the areas of education and health. We donate medical and school supplies and clothing. See more about C.U.P.S.

Faith Mission
Faith Mission is an ecumenical Christian-based non-profit organization created to be a central clearinghouse for assistance to the homeless and working poor in Washington and surrounding counties. Our chruch provides a Christmas celebration every year for families served by Faith Mission.
Higgins Branch -
supports the work of Faith Mission with sales of affordable clothing and household items to low and moderate-income individuals in Brenham and surrounding areas. Clothing and household items are provided free to those in need. More about Faith Mission and Higgins Branch. Volunteers work to sort donations.

Washington County Habitat for Humanity
WCHH is an ecumenical Christian mission to provide affordable housing to persons and families in Brenham, Burton and all of Washington County, Texas. WCHH is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. See more about WCHH.
The Gingerbread House Auction is an annual fundraiser. It has become a popluar feature of the Christmas festivities in downtown Brenham.

Hospice Brazos Valley
HBV is a healthcare organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life of central Texas residents who have a terminal or chronic illness. See more at HBV

Annual Community Fall Festival
On October 31, at Washington County Fairgrounds. BPC sponsors a game activity for young children

  • Ike Recovery work in Texas City, organized by Presbyterian Disaster Assisance and Church World Service

Oak Rest Cemetery
Oak Rest is located in a scenic area of Washington County. Burial plots are available to our members and we hold our Easter sunrise service on this historic site.  See more about Oak Rest.
